"The Game" Makes Its Premiere BET Debut+Cast Hits "106" & Premiere Party
BET has found themselves a hit. Finally. Last night, "The Game" made it's comeback after a two year cancellation hiatus. And it was worth the wait.
Check out pics from their promo at "106 & Park" and premiere party yesterday in NYC. Plus, dish to us on what you loved and hated about last night's premiere episode....
Wendy Raquel Robinson dropped it like it's hot for the "106 & Park" kids yesterday. The whole cast hit up the show to do some promo for "The Game". And, of course, Tasha Mack's new boo Terrence/Dante' got his pub on for his own show.
Speaking of this new tv relationship b/w Tasha and Terrence/Dante--anybody else felt awkward watching TJ come out in just his nekkidness in that towel and get it in with Tasha? Goodness.
So here's a quick recap of what we loved and hated.
LOVED: The whole damn show. The story line picked up 2 years after it left off and it flowed. Melanie/Tia's looking fantabulous. The drama popped off in the first 5 minutes of the show with that sneaky and trifling paternity test Mel decided to do on Derwin's baby. And it backfired. LOVED THIS MAURY POVICH ISH.
Loved Tasha Mack smoking a Black while walking down the street. Loved the foolery of Malik blatantly and openly cheating with the team owner's wife Meagan Good. Somehow, I feel like this ish happened in real life with these very people in some way. Loved TT and his fried chicken truck. OF COURSE he has a fried chicken truck.
HATED: So Jason and Kelly's daughter Brittany's just going to be a grown ass woman now after only 2 years of being away? They're worse than soap operas with that one. WHO was in charge of the laugh track? Decide if you want it or not because that mug sounded very indecisive. Hated whoever cast Sheree' Whitfield. How do you have one line and do the WORST job in the entire 1 hour episode? Hated the fact that I got into an hour long debate on whether Mel was right or wrong for that down low ish she pulled. Oh wells.
Terrence and Roci chatted up the cast.
Looking great ladies.
Over at last night's launch party at Butter:
Creators Mara Brock Akil and Selam Akil kicked it with stars of the show Hosea Chanchez and Terrence J.
The oddest couple on tv--Wendy Raquel Robinson and TJ.
Hey Deb Lee.
The cast got emotional after speeches and sweet words were said.
Loving Tia Mowry's pregnancy glow.
Fabulous.
Sherri Shepherd was there.
Larry Johnson was there.
And Rocsi was there too, of course.
Fab times. Anxiously awaiting next Tuesday night....

Taylor Swift: Speak Now Maintains Billboard Top Spot
She?s no stranger to success, and Taylor Swift's latest album Speak Now is holding steady at the #1 position on the Billboard albums chart.
However, the ?Should?ve Said No? singer?s spot sets a new record for the lowest sales of a number one album, moving just 52,000 units last week.
Apparently the New Year has been sluggish for record sales overall, as the ?Country Strong? soundtrack only sold 28,000 copies despite Gwyneth Paltrow?s hit song.
The Top 10 included, Swift, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, ?Tron: Legacy,? Eminem, Rihanna, Kanye West, Mumford & Sons, and Jason Aldean.

Evan Rachel Wood's Undercover Landing
In no mood to smile for the paparazzi, Evan Rachel Wood was spotted dodging the photogs at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (January 11).
The ?Across the Universe? beauty walked out of the terminal and quickly covered up with her coat before hopping into a vehicle and speeding off.
In other news, Wood will be reprising her role as Queen Sophie Anne on the hit HBO show ?True Blood.?
?It?s been great. It?s one of the funnest sets I?ve worked on,? she said of being back. ?[There?s]?s just always something crazy [happening]. ?True Blood? is just a blast; it?s fun; it?s scary; it?s sexy; it?s hilarious.?

Money 101: Visualizing Your Financial Future
In January, many us of us take the time to reflect on our progress and trajectory in life, mentally scribbling a personal scorecard for the past year. We analyze and comb through the personal, the professional, the spiritual and the financial. Did I crush that credit card debt? Increase my 401k contributions? Save more, spend less? Kick my online shopping addiction? Then we map out our new and improved goals, because it's a new year damn it, and we can do it! But by mid-March, just as the packed treadmills at the gym are free again, the air has deflated in our hopeful money balloons.
There are two schools of thought when it comes to planning one's financial future – visualization and goal setting, or the most powerful, the combo. The Frisky turned to finance expert and author Manisha Thakor for tips on how to successfully accomplish both.

Deborra-Lee Furness & Ava Jackman Head Home
One of our fav celebrity kiddos, 5-year-old Ava Jackman, was spotted on her way home from school Tuesday afternoon (January 11) with mom, Deborra-Lee Furness, by her side.
The duo braved the chilly New York City streets wearing matching puffy-coat and black-pant ensembles. Ava made sure her hands stayed nice and warm by keeping them in her pockets!
